• Identifying, researching, assessing and communicating with prospective new clients
• Discussing approach tactics with fee earners
• Maintain regular contact prior to and in preparation for arranged meetings targets in respect of business development
• Engaging in follow-up activity with both targets and fee earners to convert new relationships
• Monitoring and analysing the local market to identify themes, angles and opportunities– manage the “North” pipeline and also run national projects with partners across the firm
• Work closely with fee earners to assist them in achieving their personal
• Manage own deal pipeline, reporting regularly on progress and status
• Support and contribute to the team achieving hard and soft targets, such as opening up new relationships within the intermediary market
• Work with other teams to ensure activity is in line with wider marketing/BD initiatives
• Opportunities for progression if targets are met

• The successful candidate would ideally have experience within a professional services environment, preferably with exposure to the finance or legal communities
• Ideally candidates will have gained experience of sales/marketing, particularly within the area of developing new business by the use of telephone and written communication
